Maintenance Supervisor  |  

Seeking a Full Time Maintenance Supervisor. Under direction of the Director of Affordable Housing, supervises and works with a group of employees in the performance of a variety of maintenance and repair tasks such as those involved in electrical work, masonry, painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing, roofing and other work of a similar nature entailed in the upkeep of buildings and grounds or similar structures; does related work as required.  Supervises or directs maintenance warehouse operations, inventory management, written or electronic work order-system, departmental budgeting and performs related functions.  Prepares and files detailed reports and other related materials.

Includes the maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and operation of owned and managed camera, security, fire alarm, and other related systems.

Applicant must process a valid NJ Driver’s License.  A minimum of a high school diploma or Vocational-Technical High School or possession of an approved High School Equivalency Certificate as well as the ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position.  Five (5) years’ experience in work involving a variety of building maintenance and repair tasks, with a minimum of three (3) years of Supervisory experience.  Thorough knowledge of the standard tools, materials, methods, practices and safety precautions used in maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, related structures and utility systems. 40-hour work week. Salary - $70-75K, dependent on qualifications and experience.
